Why Early Grooming Matters
A kitten’s coat can take, on average, up to two years to fully mature. During this time, coat texture changes, shedding increases, and sensitivities develop. Without gentle exposure to grooming, water and noise, they can become overwhelming later in life.
The Kitten Coat Change!
Kittens are born with soft, downy fur, and their coat continues to evolve as they grow out of the newborn stage. In most breeds, the “kitten coat” is generally shorter, softer, and less glossy than the adult fur they will have later. Between the ages of six and eighteen months, as the kitten reaches adolescence, it will begin to shed its baby fur and grow the beautiful coat it will wear as an adult. Before this transition, cat owners may notice minimal shedding; however, shedding will significantly increase during this period.

Before your kitten’s first bath, we invite you to a complimentary Meet & Treat session. This allows your kitten to become comfortable with the salon environment, grooming equipment, and groomer in a calm and positive setting.
During this visit, we will assess your kitten’s coat, temperament, and grooming needs to recommend the most suitable package for them.
The first few months with a new kitten are exciting and busy. Our Kitten Grooming Package is designed to take the stress out of coat maintenance during the important coat-changing stage, while helping your kitten develop a lifelong positive relationship with grooming.

Terms & Conditions
- Package includes four (4) grooming visits.
- Visits should be used monthly over a four-month period.
- All package visits must be redeemed within six (6) months of the purchase date.
- Package expiry is six (6) months from the date of purchase. Unused visits are forfeited after expiry.
- Packages are non-transferable and cannot be shared, sold, gifted, or used for another pet.
- No refunds or partial refunds are available for unused visits.
- Refunds will only be considered where deemed necessary at the sole discretion of Lexie’s Cat Grooming.
- Additional charges apply for matting removal, flea treatment, parasite management, or any services not included in the package.
- Lexie’s Cat Grooming reserves the right to refuse or discontinue grooming where necessary for the safety, health, or welfare of the cat, groomer, or other animals.
