Matting is painful. Please let us know if your cat has matting (tight knots). Please do not attempt to remove matting.

We are committed to providing a safe, stress-free grooming experience and protecting your cat’s well-being.  To maintain your cat’s health, we do not accept clients who repeatedly allow their cat to mat.  Regular bookings are 2-12 weekly, depending on your cat’s coat type, breed and coat length maintained. 

If your cat has knots, it needs to come in more often.  Continued coat neglect resulting in matting will result in the refusal of future service.

If you would like to enquire about Lexie's Cat Grooming to find out more information and be contacted, please fill in the form below, and we will contact you as soon as we can. These questions may be asked multiple times during the consultation. This form helps us to decide on the best service for your individual cat. Please fill in one form per cat. Please note we receive a high number of enquiries during spring and summer. We will not respond if no appointments are available. This is not a new client form. A new client form will be sent upon booking.

We require all cats over the age of 7 years to have a vet visit in the last 6 months. This helps to prevent any existing issues from arising during or after the grooming appointment.
Please add if any matting/knots are present and location.
Please note that mat removal will fix the matting problem, but a regular grooming prevention appointment is necessary for feline coat and skin health. If your cat is always matted for grooming, the cat can become aggressive for grooming. We will not groom once a year matted shave-off. (repeated neglect causes pain)
We are open school hours only Mon to Thurs only by appointment. Closed public holidays.
